The chicken coop is a great product, perfect for beginners and experienced chicken owners alike! The construction was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. It took about 4 hours to build. It would be perfect for a backyard. The run is small so I wouldn’t have more than 6-10 chickens if you’re not planning to free range. We will free range so I would be comfortable housing more in there. It is convenient height for collecting eggs and cleaning out waste. Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. This is a great chicken coop for my 7 chicks! It went together fairly easy, and overall it's pretty sturdy! I'll probably take a couple extra measures to really predator proof it, but it's perfect for backyard chickens. My only concern is that the black asphalt roof started separating peeling off of the lip of the roof. Might just be from the hot Arizona heat, though. I do like that it has multiple access doors and it has the slide out tray for cleaning. The chicks love jumping up on the roosting bars and the chicken swing is a nice touch! All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. This house is designed with a living room for sleeping and a pen downstairs. All joints are mortise and tenon. 2 x access doors on both levels. The Spray wire is solid and Non-toxic in case your animals like to chew.

The chicken coop with run arived the date stated in my order confirmation.  Upon opening the boxes i noticed some of the pieces were warped. The directions have room for improvement. Theres many timesI was guessing at the placement of the next part. 2 if us did get it assembled correctly in 1.5 hours. I didnt assemble it where i want it as there were so many pieces and still wintery out so i assembled it inside. Ive been told we will use a couple of 2x4s or similar to move it as the quality is questionable. The coop itself is super cute and larger than i expected.
