I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. We added stair tread to the roost ramp so our ladies didn’t slip around anymore. I’d planned to use a solar door opener to let the gals in and out, but I was one day over the 30 day return window and Wayfair wouldn’t let me return it even for store credit. It didn’t fit despite the online specifications saying it would.. Ashley. US. Tue Aug 11 2026

Great starter chicken coop ! Easy instructions 2 people roughly an hour to put together. We decided not to attach the run to the coop as we attached it to our larger chicken run. Only negative is the latch for the resting box legs is a little on the cheap side so we replaced it with something a little more durable.. Miles. US. Wed Aug 12 2026

Was easy enough to put together, alone. It's exactly as pictured. I bought it to give my 5 hens somewhere to stay warm this winter. I did not however stop to think about how large my hens are and they will only get bigger. I should have read specs closer and bought bigger. My hens are one of the biggest breeds. Hopefully they will use it this winter. I covered the run to keep too much sun and rain off them. It's also connected to 2 other large runs. Vickie. Silver Springs, NV. Mon Oct 05 2026

Built for happy, healthy backyard chickens, this cedar chicken coop fits 15–18 hens perfectly. It features a sloped metal roof, weather sealing strip, private nesting boxes, 4 roosting bars, 2-in-1 windows and an elevated base. The removable PVC floor panels make daily care quick and low-fuss. Note: the color of this chicken coop changes visually depending on the lighting. It appears blue-green under strong sunlight outdoors, and dark green indoors or in low-light conditions on cloudy days.

We're planning to raise four hens, and I love how elevated the coop is and that the windows can be fully opened. Assembly itself wasn't difficult, the most time-consuming part was gathering all the parts before getting started. Overall, the structure is sturdy. I have it out in the yard to air out, and once our hens arrive, we'll place it against the wall and they'll be ready to move right in.. Newbiehenkeeper. New Jersey. Tue Sep 29 2026

Using 2X2 lumber (actual dimensions slightly smaller), and with no angle lumber cuts necessary, it takes less than a couple of hours to frame a structure! Our brackets are made of a heavy duty polypropylene material with a built in UV inhibitor that prevents them from cracking or getting brittle in the sun. This kit is designed with a run area for your poultry (10 Ft. W X 16 Ft. D) on one end of the structure, and includes a door for easy access. There is a raised coop area (10 Ft. W X 4 Ft. D) on the other end of the structure that allows for nesting boxes, and a second door that can be used for easy access to this area for cleaning. This kit also includes a poultry door in the center wall that separates these two areas--this will both provide your chickens access between the areas and make it easy to enclose them on one end for cleaning. Just build a ramp to the door and they are ready to go! Once assembled, just cover the structure in your choice of siding and roofing materials. Each structure is completely customizable, so you can design it to fit your project or environment!
