We installed it on a beam so it was a little harder because we didn’t have an actual light box which would’ve made it a super easy installation. It has wonderful light. It’s over our dining table and it will be perfect on high beam to play games or do whatever you want to do so that you can see very well and then it dims down to a really nice softlight. One review mentions it did not have enough light for a galley kitchen and I believe that would be true if it was your only source of light, but it is awesome over a kitchen table where you have other lighting around it. It is very heavy duty and the electrical wire has no problem getting nice and straight once the light is hung. Also we used it with a Lutron dimmer and that went flawlessly, there is no flickering or noise. We are so very pleased with this light. Thank you Perigold for such great service and product.. Cindy.
