Pull up the drop leaf, and the apron and legs pull out to fully support the table's extended size. Slide the legs and apron back when the drop leaf is folded down. Top the table with a gingham runner and a hand-painted ceramic vase of freshly cut petunias for a floral centerpiece for any occasion.

Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Everything was exactly as shown in the picture and it works out perfectly in a small unit. As I am 70 years old, it did take me one hour to put it together. But I did it myself!. Hazel. Sun City, AZ. I do like the look of this table. I am disappointed to find out that the top is MDF so it makes me wonder as a kitchen table how well that will hold up. There are also two very interesting holes on the bottom of my table, which has no reason to be there, and I wonder if they will affect the integrity of the table top.. Debra. Grottoes, VA.
