The box became damaged during transit. After opening and removing the first layer of the plastic wrap I begin hearing an oozing sound, contrary to me not even opening the standard vacuum wrapped plastic. The packaging was simple and easy to open, which I appreciated right away. Unlike some boxed mattresses that practically explode the moment the plastic is cut, this one expands in a much calmer and safer way. It slowly drew in air and took about two hours to really look like a mattress, then continued settling overnight until it reached its full shape.
