I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. Reason not 5 instructions were for desk chair set - website assembly shows items lettered but they were numbered so a bit confusing at first and hinges are gold - think they should be black to match drawer knobs and legs. if you need a sit-stand desk for your home office that won't break the bank, this is the option for you. My company offers ergonomic online consults and noticed my old-fashioned leather top wood desk was too high for my height. Therefore, she recommended I get a sit/stand desk as it will be lower and will give me the option to stand during the day esp. meetings. The company does pay for them, so it was an added bonus. This one was a good option. Pretty easy to put together, just have to be organized from the start...put all the right parts together, etc. Took about 45 minutes to put together as I did go slow and do it on my own.
