These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool.
