Assembly was easy and so far it has been holding up pretty well. The only thing we struggled with was getting the chicken wire onto the poles and around the coop. Will definitely be ordering another one in a bigger size to give my ducks more space to run around.. Lexi. Thu Jun 04 2026

This 10 ft x 20 ft outdoor chicken run provides a spacious and secure environment for backyard poultry. This is a very large run for the price, and it is sturdy, but there were some things that I wish I had been aware of. I might still have ordered it, but I was a tad disappointed. If you want a truly secure run, you will need to invest hardware cloth and sweat. On the positive side, the wire panels are sturdy, and the hardware is substantial. They are solid welded wire panels, put together with double brackets. It should do a good job of keeping out large predators. However, the gaps between panels are wider than they appear in the picture and there are large gaps to each side of the door The door is a duck-in door. It's about 3'3" tall, although quite wide. The third image shows that more clearly. The "roof" is a series of triangular trusses with cross beams, so while it is 6' at the peak, you have to watch your head. That said, it's plenty high enough for the chickens, and one can get in there to work, carefully. The roof is mostly canvas. The welded wire does not continue ANYWHERE that is under the canvas in the images. There is a big triangular opening at both ends. Quality control could have been a bit better, but pieces are well enough manufactured to be sufficient for it to function. Assembly is tedious, that's a lot of panels! What we are doing to make the run more secure is to put a 2' band of 1/2" hardware cloth up the sides, and also a 2' skirt of the same, staked and weighted down. The entire roof area will be covered with 1/2"-1" hardware cloth, and we will cut triangular panels to fill in the front and back. Absolutely love this chicken run! It took several days for my husband to put together, but it seems to be pretty sturdy material. As much as we would like to let them free range we have already lost 3 of our 28 chickens to hawk attacks. Becuase of this I built a secure pen around their coop that does a great job of protecting them but they needed more space. We purchased this enclosure to give our girls a confined area to run in that gives them access to lots of grass and bugs. It is a good compromise to let them forage and still be protected. Assembly of the frame was easy with no issues at all. The frame itself seems sturdy enough and I dont expect any issues with it over time. While probably not recommended installed this on a slope and attached the enclosure to the protected area I had previously built with brackets. Access to it is allowed via an electric door. The mesh that comes with this looks nice with its green coating but it is VERY thin. Because of this I chose to use thicker chicken wire for the bottom portions, which I me purchased at a well known farm store. Our girls are only out in the enclosure during the daytime hours so hopefully upgrading the chicken wire will keep any critters on the ground from getting to them. I did use the green mesh that comes with the enclosure for the roof area. This should be more than enough to deter any hawks from trying for a chicken dinner. While not really a complaint the door assembly is not very tall. There is easily enough room that the company could have added another 4 or 5 inches in height to the door but for whatever reason they chose not to. My wife is fine with it but I am 6 2 and must always duck before stepping inside. If I dont the metal frame is a good reminder for next time. Ouch! I may redo the door at some point to add some height. Our girls have been enjoying their new playground for a several weeks now. Overall we feel it was a good purchase and so do they. Even if you just used the frame alone and bought all new fencing it would still be worth the cost. I did take off one star though for the included thin chicken wire and the door height. UPDATE The included tarp that goes over one section of the coop for shadeprotection from weather has torn after only 1 months of use. We absolutely love the design and quality of materials. The color is a bit more orange once you open it up. The real issue is the assembly instructions. My wife and are are very hands and have built many things. The main issue is that the order which things are assembled left some big issues towards the end. The coop is quite large, but a pretty simple build. Simple enough that I was able to do as a project with my little ones. Didn’t find any problems with the instructions - all were written pretty clearly and simply. No mistakes and nothing left out. We were worried about the coop in the Louisiana weather, but the PVC roof is large enough and pitched correctly to keep water off the sides and out of the coop. Great product! So I had a squirrel problem getting in my garden and this solved all my problems by being able to put everything inside together. We found it easy to assemble with everything included.My opinion to improve would be not zip ties as they rot and i bought metal rebar ties instead.
