Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. Took two professionals 11 hands-on hours to complete. Instructions claiming it takes 3 hours is a said joke - takes 2 hours just to unpack all the parts and peel plastic coating off the roof panels. Maybe there’s a better way to design it or preassemble some so it doesn’t all fall on the customer. Bigger issue I have is that there are no covers for the hardware at the feet - pretty ugly. Ok. First, we got this for our soft cover gazebo. With this, we have to take the soft cover off before the winter since it won't stand up to that weather -- it gets kind of old having to take it off and put it back on every year. With this cover, which will protect it all over the winter, we won't have to remove the first covering /layer every year. So that's great, and after some monumental efforts on the part of 4 of us, including using ladders and poles, we got this installed. Installation is really just getting this on the top of the gazebo, and then moving it into place. So you might think that's easy, but the gazebo is up at about 7 feet, this cover weighs A LOT! And the cover is all one piece. There's only one way to do this - get on ladders, pull it up, get it in the right direction (and it has to go up over the center piece which is raised). So, using ladders and grappling hooks, we accomplished this. It fit well (it was sized a bit larger than our gazebo). And it appears to handle the wind - we had some wind gusts come up, and everything stayed in place. the material is strong. It's got as the description shows, windows on one side, and a zipper door on the other. Here's the limitation. Our gazebo is on our large deck, situation right against the house/patio door, so we can walk from the house to the gazebo. We can see our boat and canal and river view from the gazebo. What happens with this canopy is, when the sides are all down and it's the winter, for example, you can enter the gazebo and sit enclosed and look out the somewhat small windows to the view. That's ok for the winter, except we have dog and the only way to let them out is to get out through the now solid canopy enclosure, since there is a door only on one side. We can work with this. From the photos, I hope you can see, we rolled up the enclosed side (which happened to have a zipper on one corner, but not on the other? A zipper on both would have worked well (we may create one). But we rolled it all up anyway, which allows us to enjoy our gazebo as we had been. Once the winter comes, we'll roll it down and work something out for the dogs. This heavy-duty canopy carport is nice and largely spacious. The assembly wasnt too complicated. The canopy material is thick and durable however the stitching should have been reinforced because a strong wind could cause ripping. Im somewhere between 4 and 5 on this. The packaging is horrible so many parts were damaged. Wayfair gets a 5 out of 5 for getting replacements ordered for me quickly. The replacements were packed just as poorly so some got damaged as well but they sent extras so it was not a problem. Sent from the manufacturer so none of that is Wayfairs fault. Instructions were just okay. Not always super clear. Some bolts really wanted to cross thread. Im happy with the look and function. Its not going to keep every drop of water out in a storm but itll do an adequate job. It could be a little sturdier but I dont think you can find better for the price. Im telling everyone about Wayfair customer service. I expected to have to contact the manufacturer myself and be lucky to get a response. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. We love our new patio gazebo. Instructions were complete. It was really easy to put together. It took three of us two days.
