​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item. We love our 15x13 louvered pergola. Looks really nice and expensive and feels solid. It took an experienced crew of 2 about 3 hours to install but I know ot would've taken me and a friend at least 6-8 hours as it'll take longer to read the instructions and plan the steps etc. whereas the experienced pergola installers went right into it. The louvers work well and are the best thing abiut this compared to our previous gazebo. You can bring in as much light as you want while controlling direct sunlight, but make sure you decide which way they should open (by rotating the whole pergola) as that dictate if you can control direct sunlight. The lights are solar with 1 smallish panel but they lasted more than 4 hours on the couple of occasions we used them, and likely would've lasted longer if we needed then. During the day, you can close the louvers to enjoy sun shade; In the evening you can also use the strips light while you relax in your favorite chair! If the weather changes and it starts to rain simply close the louver shut and continue to enjoy your outdoor living area with friends and family.
