The quality of the awning seems very good and it is attractive. I would agree with all of the reviews I read about how hard it was to assemble. It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. Sturdy and well made, instructions were fairly clear and with a one man assembly expect an all day project, but with 2 people who are fairly handy should be a breeze. Nice Pergola It’s solid but a little lower than I had envisioned. The front has a shallow gutter with ends open. I’m a trying to figure out how to hang a gutter. It’s very hard to drill. I absolutely love this awning. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It is very well priced and looks very pretty. Sorry for the delayed review, but I did need to hire someone to install it. The assembly and install were a little challenging, even for a master electrician. It wasn't the level of difficulty but rather very vague instructions and more than one incorrect picture. However, we prevailed. Warning: DO NOT remove the tape and zip ties from the arms of the hardware. They are spring-loaded and should not be released until the awning has been hung. Otherwise, it'll be like trying to put a cat in a bucket of water. (we were smart about this) To assemble, have a helper on standby to pull the awning through the roller channel while someone else pushes it. A kid can help with this part. One person can assemble the main hardware. To install the brackets to the home, one person is fine as long as they have the correct drill bits and measure correctly. The brackets are great quality; however, they may not sit flush and level to the wall. We placed 2x2 blocks of wood behind each bracket to fill the empty space and make the install strong and level. To install the awning, you'll want a strong teen or adult to assist. This was easier to put together than we expected. There were some unexpected things like cutting pieces to size and getting the right bolts to attach to a trex deck. The faster given are for attaching to concrete. Help tip** Make sure that you are attaching the to a straight spot with no slope or else you will need to cut a wood wedge to fill the gap. I always wanted one of these. It’s sturdier than I thought which is great. It came in two different boxes. Well packed. It gave a list of items in each box to make sure everything was which is great. It came together very easily. I would recommend four people, especially when you are lifting and putting on the bottom parts of the legs and putting it into place you really need four people. I wish there was a sixth pole in the middle like the front in the back to help support that back half which being attached to the house it doesn’t really matter, but we’re not attaching it ours to our house, we’re gonna put some extra support beams on each side and going across to support and raise it up into place where we wanted to go and that should give it some extra support, but overall it came together very easily. It says don’t tighten up the screws totally which please listen to directions and then go back and tighten after things are together. It works so much better. I love this. It’s gonna be great for the dog when it rains or a hot night. We could sit out here and still enjoy our porch. I would definitely recommend this patio cover gazebo.. Tammy. Midland, MI.
