No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. I had to look at the picture of the item online to figure out how it went together. Also, the cord that comes with it breaks really easily. It was breaking about every 6 seconds and I'd have to re-string some more cord. We had some more heavy-duty cord from a previous trimmer, so we took off the cord that came with it, and re-strung the heavier-duty cord and then it worked great. So overall, a decent week wacker for the price, but be ready to be self-sufficient when it comes to putting it together (which isn't terribly hard) and have some better cord ready to use.. Lori.
