Roof rafters had some tweaking to get right. Overall really good product! Looks great! Roof packaging took a little bend at bottom corner but we were able to hide them. At first I was super upset when I got my packages. They were not handled as written on the box and had several puncture marks on them. I realize this isn’t a fault of Wayfair but they should be aware of the condition of packaging. All of my packages were delivered standing upright instead of flat. Despite a piece of wood being bent and the roof tin having a few dents it still went to together just fine. I did it myself, female. It took me 3 total days. Half a day to organize things and almost 2 12 to build it. No regrets at all. Just pay CLOSE attention to directions as you go so you don’t have to go back and fix anything. I made sure I wouldn’t have to. Good luck! No leaks or anything so far. Will have to be cautious in winter as ice will probably slide right off. Overall very happy with the results!. Jill. Kentucky. Once I worked through being short a few screws the pergola assembly went well with mostly 1 person and was completed in about 7hrs. Needed a helper to raise the poles and square it up. This pergola does a good job of protecting from the sun and cooling down the atmosphere.it also helps to keep pesky bugs away! It took about 3 hours to assemble with only one person. Although the instructions could have been more clearer, it wasn’t too difficult to assemble. It looks pretty and exactly as it was advertised online. However, I did order the larger twelve by ten feet pergola but it was not the size I received. I had my concrete slab measured and then installed a concrete pad according to the measurements provided online. This is because my patio’s concrete slab was too small for it and the pergola must be installed onto a leveled foundation. However, while installing the pergola, we noticed it was too short about two feet. It measured ten by ten feet. Since it isn’t a very large and heavy pergola, we were able to just purchase a concrete pad to install it onto. It seems pretty sturdy and holds up well. Overall, I do recommend this pergola for anyone looking to add a stylish addition to their backyard. It is low maintenance and a quick one day project. It provides good protection from the sun while keeping bugs away. Although I received the smaller size, it is still large enough to accommodate a dining table with seating for six people. Appearance wise, it looks very pretty, exactly as advertised online. It is a modern look with the matte black and beige shade. It is neutral to most decor and easy to blend with patio furniture.. Why 2 stars My experience with Wayfair and Angi’s installation service which I paid 379 is the reason for my low rating. One contractor was a no-show. The other contractor couldnt do the job alone. Yet Angi penalized the guy who showed up. We got that rectified. But I asked to cancel the install and refund my fee especially after what happened and when I found out that the installers are only paid a 94.50 flat rate, FOR THE WHOLE JOB! Instead of cancelling the install it was marked as completed and they asked me to review the guy who was a no-show. Supposedly I may get a refund considering that the service was not performed and I had to do it myself anyway but Angi and Wayfair and pointing the finger at each other.
