The instructions were just pictures and while some were expanded pictures, very difficult to figure out some areas. It’s a substantial piece of furniture. I like the color and I like the dimensions. I wish that it had come in one piece and not had to be put together, but I’m sure it was too big to ship. My only other qualm is the drawers… They’re not soft close and you have to push them in and then give them another hard push to get them to close completely. Seems like a waste of resources as I was told to discard of the box I received with the first order. We are handy people, it took about three hours to assemble. One of the drawer pilot holes were not correctly placed and we had to drill new holes. The unit comes with a generous bag of extra hardware but the one piece we needed was not included. We improvised with something we got at a local hardware store. Unit seems sturdy, not sure how the countertop will wear. Had company over today and received compliments. It is a nice style. I love the kitchen island. It was missing a small piece of hardware that went on the shelf. I contacted Wayfair to get the tiny piece, but they had to ship me an entire new island and told me to take out the part I needed and they would pick up what I didn't need.
