We love our Murphy Bed! My husband and I put it together which took about 4 hrs. We recommend having two people to assemble it. I liked putting it together and the directions were easy to follow too. The reason I did 4 stars out of 5 is because there was a scratch crack in one of the major pieces and we were already halfway done with putting it together and needed it the next day, so we werent about to take it apart to order another. Also, one of the screw holes broke on the locking piston upon screwing one of the screws in and we didnt even screw it in that hard. The only thing I thought could use some improvement would be with the hinges where a mattress lay. We love it It’s absolutely beautiful, only two issues. One was a warning sticker placed on the top of the cabinet, and it was a little bit of a pain to take off. We recently downsized to a one bedroom apartment and wanted to have an extra bed for guests. This bed is solid and attractive. Assembly was not as hard and didn’t take as long as some others I’ve read about. I put it together myself did take me quite some time but it is possible You can slide the drawers all the way completely out and there are small screws that stick down that will hold it in place so they are even. There was an issue with the order (sent wrong item), but wayfair's customer service was top notch and resent the correct bed quickly. It was not that difficult to put together (2.5 hours with one person and would likely take 1 hour with 2 people). My niece is very happy with the result. The extra storage space is very useful and the bed feels like it will last through her teenagers years ahead. She did note that the bed slats are very flimsy and would recommend a box spring or bunkie board. If a child jumped on the bed- it would likely break. Great choice! My only mistake was thinking a full size mattress was not much different in size than a queen. Fairly easy to put together but I did hire Wayfair install team to do it.
