It’s okay. I like that the black is not flat black but instead a mix of black and gold. I wonder if this was mentioned in the description as I was expecting a fully black bench. Although this is a very labor-intensive piece to make, the tops are completely handmade using reclaimed wood from antique doors. The legs are hand-distressed in antiqued colors. Each one is unique and will vary slightly. We have this reclaimed top old door bench in three distressed colors. The color refers only to the color of the legs.
