This product in the Castelao series puts emphasis on the details to create a totally unique flooring experience. A mulch layer and hand staining process have been used to create an inner glow effect that darkens towards the timeworn plank edges. Due to the natural glow and the vineyard series has high color variation. Meaning, the color hues will span a range from low to high for added brilliance. Vintage and long-length planks measure up to seven feet long for a more coalescent floor.

This engineered flooring is a neutral greige tone. The finish is smooth with no wood texture feel. The top and bottom plank are full length where the middle pieces are split which I thought was odd but maybe that’s how all boxes come The backside of the planks are a rustic finish that I kind of like (see last photo). We are in the process of remodeling our home. Today we are installing this product—and so far, it’s been super easy. There are 10 planks in a box and it was packaged incredibly well so as to avoid damage during shipping. The quality of the product is excellent. I love how easy it is to operate the tongue and groove system but there are a few pieces that have been tricky. It’s also a bit hard to match up the “knotholes” in the pattern. Really beautiful and natural color. We got the carbonized color and it’s a nice, pale, classic bamboo color. We used it as a ceiling for our small laundry room. Make sure not to get it wet or place it in a room where it might get splashed or dirty. We dripped a small amount of something on this before installing it (in the middle of a major remodel), and when I wiped it off, the space that got a little damp changed color permanently to a greenish gray color. Thankfully that portion was mostly covered by the wide cedar plank trim we used. I think the only way to clean this would be to let whatever got on it dry and then carefully scrape it off. Finally, know that it definitely needs trim around the edges as the ends of the bamboo can splinter pretty easily when bumped. But once it is installed it looks amazing!
