I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". That being said, the faux leather has held up well to all sorts of spills, stains, bumps, etc. They don't feel very sturdy but they do the job for now. I purchased a less expensive version, fully expecting to have to replace when the kids are older. Edit 2/13/2026. We've now had these just under 6 years. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets. I don’t think you’re gonna find a cooler barstool than these. Not to mention they’re extremely comfortable! I got the black seat with the gold stitched accent and the gold frame and they are gorgeous for our kitchen. They are stable and you do not have to worry about them holding up overtime as I feel they are very good quality. And I love all the options they offer for colors.
