Suggest mounting it into a stud or installing blocking in the wall behind if possible because it sticks out far enough that a kid pulling on it or an adult using it to brace themselves could lead to major drywall damage.. I think this is a great option versus a floor mount faucet with a soaking tub. I have had both and cleaning around floor mounted faucets can be difficult.
