The sliding glass doors to the outside are the first things you see when you walk into my home, and I wanted it to be an aesthetically-pleasing site. I needed an outdoor couch that could be rained on and looked good without cushions because it rains half the year. I really like the way this turned out, and I wanted to show pictures of it without the cushions in case you’re trying to visualize it. I really like this sofa. I got royal blue and it really looks great on my deck. It was packaged great and only took about 30 minutes for 2 people to assemble (the only reason you need 2 people is so one can hold pieces while the other screws them in). All the holes lined up and the parts were perfect. I really wanted a high-backed sofa so I could have my neck supported and doze more easily - and they perfectly fits the bill. I only have 2 minor issues. As another reviewer said, the fabric is scratchy. Now, it's waterproof so It's not going to be super soft but I didn't like the way it felt on my bare arms. It's also hot, which I attribute to the waterproof nature negatively affecting breathability. But, it holds the heat of the day for quite a while after the sun has set. I found the cushions to be thick, firm, and very nice otherwise. But I could slightly feel a vertical bar behind my end/back cushion and it bothers me every now and then. I am a large person but not heavier than the weight capacity of the sofa (by far) so I don't know if my discomfort had to do with my size. I did not purchase the Carolina ottomans - the ones you see in the photos are by the same company but are called Gaetanino Wicker Outdoor Ottoman - I love them. I recommend this sofa!. Lisa. Very nice, quality outdoor couch! Very easily to put together with one person. The cushions are thick and stiff. Not too stiff to feel overly uncomfortable-you can tell that overtime this couch will be a dream to sit/sleep on. The back cushions are angular, which is very nice. I love to take one of the end back cushions and use it as a pillow when I lie on the couch! Pictures included. I enjoy the contrast of the cushions and the wood. All of the bottom cushions have multiple Velcro attachments to keep the cushions from sliding around. I also uploaded a close-up of the fabric to show the beautiful design. I needed a long sofa to put an antique set of spring cushions/ daybed mattresses on for a recreation room. This one was the perfect size and colors. My cushions fit perfectly. The sofa looks very cute and is functional. Because it has light use it works for me. I would probably not use it with rambunctious children or men as it is a delicate piece and the support would be questionable if there was heavy use or kids jumping on it.
