I bought this primarily as a reading nook lounger. It weighs 50 lbs and I wasn't home when it was left leaning on its end on my porch. I'm a 60 yo woman and managed this solo. It took some work to shimmy this into the house but the room it went into is near the front door. If you have steps you will absolutely need 2 people. The box is big and awkward and difficult to get a good grip. Once in the room, I leaned it against the wall with the bottom facing me. So when you open the box the underneath is showing. Locate the little box with the legs, cut away the protective plastic, screw in the legs and then voila lower it down. The legs have felt stick ons and easy to slide from there if you have hard floors. It does have some unsightly metal brackets attached on both sides so I covered it with a cute throw. Plus I bought the cream color and it could get dirty fast. Hard to say how long the cushion will remain supportive. But overall I feel it was a decent purchase for the price point.. Lisa. It's been home for a hours and I already love this chaise! It wasnt hard to assemble but I needed my husband's muscle to put the back on. It fluffed out to a nice size already. The blue is very rich and matches my navy blue decor perfectly. It really is very soft and comfy for me to lounge in. Im 5'3, 180lb. My 3y daughter and 2y grandson fit comfortably with me in this chair. My husband said it was a little low for him but still comfortable & he is 6'2. If your contemplating, just buy it. We love this chair as it is deep and comfortable. Very easy to put together and only one cord. The leather is soft and we love the rocker mechanism as well as the rotating feature. The only drawback is the fact that the foot rest only comes up when the chair is fully reclined. So you can’t sit with your feet up, the back will go down as well. Love these chairs! Be mindful of the size when purchasing. For reference, I have standard size cushions on the chairs. The cushions fit pretty snug, but there is no overhang.
