We had this brand at our old house. They have since changed up the inner workings which in one case is great and in another bad. The good part is the door knobs no longer get screwed on and thats a huge plus. The bad part is the door can be shut with the door in the locked position. It doesnt unlock unless the interior knob is turned. The knobs can also bind up if the faceplate is attached too tight to the door. Even with these downsides...it is a nice set and plan on purchasing a dozen more.. John. WV. Tue Sep 22 2020

The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel has a storied history. The original hotel was built in 1893 on 33rd Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City and it was the first hotel to offer 24-hour room service and electricity on every floor. When it debuted in its current Park Avenue location, it was the largest and tallest hotel in the world. Its groundbreaking legacy continues to this day, as a masterful example of Art Deco architecture and an icon of luxury. While our own Astoria is more humble in its legacy, you might find that this small but beautiful detail adds a certain historic elegance to your home. Available as either a cabinet or door knob style.
