I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. One of my favorite features is the exhaust mode, which does an excellent job of pulling hot, stale air out of the house, especially after a warm day or when cooking. The low-profile design fits nicely in the window without being bulky or obstructing the view. It was easy to install, and the controls are straightforward to use. The fan moves a surprising amount of air for its size and helps create a refreshing breeze throughout the house when paired with an open window on the opposite side. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. Top-notch Fan! This thing moves a ton of air and is very quiet all things considered. It’s easy to maneuver, doesn’t weigh much and it’s very portable from place to place.
