These chain door guards are constructed of steel chains, diecast housings, plates, and keepers, and they come in optional plated finishes. These locks engage by allowing the bolts to slide into the keyed mechanisms to lock. They use B1 keyways, ILCO (1098M). These chain door locks allow doors to open only slightly for safe viewing and ventilation. Installation of these locks mounted out of children’s reach will help prevent them from opening doors to enter or exit into dangerous or off-limit areas. All installation fasteners are included, and the locks can be used on a variety of door types, on or beside the door casings.
