We really like this bed, and that was based primarily on the island/tropical design/vibe and the great color choices (we went with Kiwi green...vibrant!) The bed appears to be well-made, but it is a bit pricey for its lightweight and simple construction and detailing. It also took a few weeks to receive the bed, but that seems to be typical with larger furniture items. This bed is really, really gorgeous! So solid and obvious it is not assembly line. The caveats- some off the hardware was slightly off so needed to be ‘convinced’, some small areas not completely stained ( furniture pen there), and despite search filter - this is NOT a platform bed. You will need to add slats if you want to forgo the box spring. Although the slats provided are larger than most beds, we did add 4 to be safe-used oak so it is extremely solid. Looked EVERYWHERE for a twin with a decent height footboard and this fit the bill.., why they are all so short- beats me.
