Very solid piece of furniture. Assembly directions were easy to follow. Took approximately two hours to assemble with two people. We absolutely love our Mandujano Murphy Bed in the Barnwood finish. After downsizing, we needed our larger office to double as a guest room, and this bed is perfect. It’s solid wood, extremely well built, and the design is brilliant — when folded up, it looks like a beautiful chest of drawers, and the bottom drawer is a real storage drawer that holds pillows, sheets, and a blanket. We bought the matching mattress thinking we might upgrade it later, but it’s genuinely comfortable. working to get my toddler son’s room converted with a big boy bed. Got this one so we won’t have to worry about him rolling out. The directions recommend 2 adults to put it together but I was able to do it solo in a couple hours. I didn’t put in the door because that’s where he get in and out but it does have a feature with a lock that goes where the opening in the frame is.
