The chair is essentially a counter height version of the Howell side chair. While it is designed to gathering table, it is equally suited to work with built in kitchen islands that feature counter height or gathering height areas. As for the design, the solid wood that serves as the structural framework of the chair is designed to be exposed and part of the beauty of the piece. It is beautiful from both he front and the back of the chair. It also features a small nail-head trim that frames the seat and back upholstery.
