Mid-century modern design combines functionality with sleek lines and geometric forms that offer a simple sophistication to any modern space. The queen-size platform bed is constructed of solid wood sourced from renewable plantations and a urethane finish is used to both protect and highlight the natural beauty of the wood grains and patterns. Featuring a slat roll foundation with 12 individual slats, center supports, and support legs, this bed is built to last. Also, the slat roll foundation eliminates the need for a box spring. The classy, slatted headboard with extended posts and round tapering legs further adds to the mid-century modern element of the bed. The bed’s headboard and footboard connect with two sturdy bed rails.

Easy to put together. Have had now for 3 years and it’s still holding up strong.. Anonymous. Wed Oct 14 2026

This platform bed grounds your main bedroom in light, mid-century modern style. It's crafted from solid wood that showcases its natural wood knots and structural character. The clean-lined frame rests on tapered rod legs, while the slatted headboard adds a retro nod and an airy, open feeling. Designed with a low profile, it has a matching footrail that completes the streamlined silhouette. It includes a built-in slat roll mattress foundation, so you can place your mattress directly down without adding extra height.

Took a little while for my husband and brother to assemble, but the results were amazing. This bed was purchased when we set up a green guest bedroom after our youngest daughter moved out post-college. Later, we gave the bed to our eldest daughter to refresh her teal bedroom in her little house ("casita") in southern Texas. She paired the bed with Boho Bouquet bedding -- also a gift from us, purchased on the Wayfair website.. Cheryl. Keller, TX. Mon Aug 03 2026

Update your bedroom with this platform bed frame and all its traditional charm – plus, some modern practicality. It's crafted from steel in a classic silhouette and comes with wooden slats that eliminate the need for a box spring. The design features an elegant slatted headboard showcasing vintage-inspired turns details and a softly arching top, paired with a matching footboard to complete the look. What's more, the 10" under-bed clearance means there's also plenty of room for a couple storage bins.

I did a lot of research regarding the weight capacity of metal beds. We have a king size black beauty rest mattress that works best with box springs so the total mattress weight has to be around 200lbs. My husband and I combined are just under 400 lbs. so I wanted a minimum of 700 lbs to more than cover. Also my husband is 6’2” and I was concerned about his feet getting caught in the footboard. We tested it without the box springs because the bed doesn’t require those. He didn’t have any issues but we ended up adding the box springs anyway. Now the bed with the springs goes higher than the footboard. The mattress height alone is 14 inches and box springs add about 4 inches. The bed frame is heavy at just under 103 pounds so that was important. I didn’t want a lightweight frame. The decor on the head and footboard is beautiful, gives an antique vibe like the bed my grandmother had but no squeaking. We have slept on this for just under a week and there is no sound. We were able to put this together is about twenty minutes. The instructions are clear with numbers for connecting pieces that slid into place easily. We did use the rubber mallet included to secure each piece. Love the bed, very happy with the sturdiness and look.. Linda. Kansas City, MO. Fri Sep 11 2026

It's crafted with a solid and engineered wood frame, showcasing a slatted headboard and matching footboard for a cohesive, balanced silhouette. I love this bed! I was thrilled to find the look and size of canopy bed in my price range that I was seeking after many failed Facebook marketplace attempts (and ghosts). It was pretty easy to put together though I do not recommend putting it together solo like I did- more of a two person job (just requires the included Allen wrench which was super convenient). It’s not necessarily top quality or super sturdy which makes sense considering the price, but it is fully functional and aesthetically pleasing. Probably not best for a super largeheavy person or multiple people (I’m only about 120 lbs). I feel like the middle support legs shift when I get on it because the crossbar slats are round and roll. This may be partially because I have a large air mattress and the slats roll against its relatively slick surface - it may not do this with a more typical fabric mattress. I put some large pieces of particle board (from the packaging of another Wayfair purchase) under the mattress to serve as sort of a bunky board that minimized this. Overall, I’m satisfied customer.. ***EDIT: Wayfair doesn't retain my original paragraph spacing so this may be a bit hard to read!*** Very close to be a very good bed frame. ************** Pros: ************** -------------- 1. The white linen seems to be of decent quality and is a good color. -------------- 2. Build quality seems to be well made. -------------- 3. Slats are covered with some felt like material. -------------- 4. Assembly steps aren't overly complicated. -------------- 5. Good height for me and has space for a 7" tall storage container underneath. ************** Cons: ************** -------------- 1. All the washers and metal plates were corroded, however, the bolts themselves seem ok. I made a trip to the hardware store to get replacement washers. I also cleaned up the metal plates with isopropyl alcohol as much as I could just so that not too much of the corrosion gets on the mattress and sheets. I kept wiping with isopropyl alcohol-soaked towels until I no longer saw any corrosion residue coming off. -------------- 2. The screws inside the rounded corners by the head board were difficult to screw in due to the tight curved space. I had to go dig out a very short screw driver from my tool box. I guess I should have expected this due to the curved design, but I thought I should point that out. -------------- 3. One corner of the foot board was a struggle to attach to the side board due to some sort of misalignment, either the brackets are offset too far or the pre-drilled hole is too far. It took a lot of muscle to force the two pieces to line up just enough to force the screw in. It does appear to have a larger gap between the two boards at this corner than the other corner that had no issues, but it's not too bad once assembled. -------------- 4. One corner of the foot board had about a 2 x 3-inch area that didn't get enough batting/filling so it looks slightly flatter than the rest of the bed frame, but again, not a huge deal, since it will mostly be covered up by bed sheets. -------------- 6. The linen covering the curved portion on the head board appears to be under stretched tension, but not sure if it is really avoidable due to the design. At least it's no too visible from a distance. -------------- 7. The foot board doesn't have good support for the mattress so I sink in a little bit more sitting there compared to sitting at the left or right side, but not a huge deal. -------------- 8. There were 4 small spots that had either some dirt or corrosion residue on them, but they wiped away cleanly, just something to look out for when buying white linen furniture. ************** Despite all the cons I listed, I still like this bed frame, I just wished there wasn't so much corrosion on the metal hardware, which made me feel like I shouldn't have paid full price for it..
