The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. I’m torn about this product… the good qualities are great, but the bad qualities are super lame. Assembly was easy enough for one person. The vacuum sealed packaging method was effective and impressive - the cushions easily tripled in size after opening. The couch cushions are comfy but very bouncy which is weird. This is a lovely mid century modern couch. It arrived very well packaged but did have a small scuff on the back of one of the cushions. It was hard to out together with two people. The directions say to put the arm on, then the back but either way was hard. Once they were together it slides together to lock and the feet go on.
