This sideboard is very nice. It goes great with my black dining table. I do have to say that the instructions aren’t great and for a relatively simple box it takes a long time to assemble (about two hours). But it is solid once assembled and looks quite elegant with the glass and light. My only other complaint beyond the instructions is that the light is powered via a usb connection but it doesn’t come with the wall plug to attach the usb cord to. I am OBSESSED! We purchased two for under our television and they are gorgeous! Note they scratch easily but nothing you can’t fix with a sharpie. They are a pain to build the instructions are a little confusing- just make sure you know which direction will be the front and back of the unit before you assemble; we had to rebuild one of ours. The doors were pretty annoying to get aligned but I don’t think that is unique to this product. One of the six doors does not function with the push to close so we have to push back the lever manually when we want to close it but the door itself works. Bought two to place together and we love the look of them. Assembly wasn’t as easy as it should have been. The directions weren’t clear. Pay attention to the hinges, as there are 2 different types. The piece was also missing pilot holes for the legs, so they were very difficult to attach. We also skipped the push button “thingys” on the second piece, I don’t think they were necessary.. Shannon. LOVE this piece! I noticed it was solid wood versus pressed/manufactured and took a gamble. I'd give it a 4.5 stars if I could, but extremely impressed. I was concerned about assembly and aligning doors- but the hinges are high quality and have 3-direction adjustments so getting the doors perfect took a bit of finagling but was just a matter of getting the adjustments right. The half-star I'd take away is two parts - one, one of the door panels is much darker than the other 3, so it doesn't blend as well as I'd expected. And the adjustable shelf pins are cheap garbage; they don't stay in place at all if there's any movement/vibration. I'm sorry to break the perfect feedback score but we had issues with our unit. There was significant fading of the colour near the bottom of multiple slats. Wayfair with their outstanding customer service quickly replaced the unit for us. Unfortunately the next one was delivered with other finishing issues. I guess for the price point we wanted a seamless finish with no scratches or scrapes that showed bare wood.
