I had a largerlonger wider dark wood table in the dining space previously and although I liked it and the wood matched the dark wood doors on my buffet (also from Wayfair!) it just really made the space look and feel so tight and cramped. I waited until I had the table for a while to post a review. In the 4 months I’ve had it, I have zero complaints. It is the perfect size for my small dinette area. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. So we returned that table and another table arrived about five days later and everything was great with it so Wayfair itself is great. FedEx probably needs to be a little more careful. First time purchasers from Wayfair here so didn't know what expect. After looking at the local furniture companies with their outrageous prices we decided to go this route. A recent remodel required a whole new dining set. We bought the chairs locally but needed a table exactly as this one. Great quality, weight, ease of assembly and received quickly. The finish, weight, stability and quality is better than anything I saw here locally. The finish is a high gloss white and locks securely when the leaf is not engaged. One note....the table in the 'closed' position is listed as 36x36, it is not; it's 36x50 then when opened is 36x72. Fine for my area since I had the space but others needing the 36x36 dimensions may be in for a surprise. My chairs arrive next week and can't wait to see how they match. I used to have a larger table. When fully collapsed, its size was 72x42. With that size, whenever there were only a few people at home, I didnt feel like sitting at the table to eat because it felt too empty and cold. However, ever since I switched to this dining table, my wife and I eat together at the table much more often. Its collapsed size of 63x36 creates a warm, cozy feel, yet when the kids come over on the weekend, it can still seat up to 10 people when extended to 95 inches in length. ​My only minor issue is that in the online photos, it looked like a light golden wood color, but in reality, its slightly darker with gray wood grain. The table came well packaged so there was no damage. Delivery was great, I had plenty of notice, the day before and 30 minutes before delivery. The delivery men were helpful and polite. It is made of solid, high quality wood. It has a beautiful finish, but as expected with real wood, the surface has some imperfections. The design of the legs and supports make it very sturdy.
