This writing desk features a distinctive silhouette that includes A-shaped legs and a wide, hexagonal desktop for a mid-century modern look we love. It's made from solid and engineered wood, with a rich, brown finish that highlights the surfaces' natural wood grain. Measuring 48.25" across, this desktop allows you to spread out your work while not overwhelming your space. Two drawers are a great spot to stash office supplies, while two small shelves above them let you stack books or show off decorative pieces.

As the directions tell you, don’t tighten any screws until the very very very end, lol. The alignment will be “off” a bit and you’ll need to “shift” the entire “finished” assembly to perfect how it all lines up, THEN you can tighten the screws. But the weight of it, the sturdiness, the style, all are quite nice.. Jared. Tue May 21 2024

This metal wood industrial desk unfortunately had 2 broken pieces as we opened the box. I still gave it 4 stars because this could have happened during shipping but I do think they could have included more wrap styrofoam around it. I will say this is a VERY heavy desk. It seems to be high quality and the wood looks beautiful. We plan to use it in our hobby room.. Darcy. North Ft. Myers, FL. Sun Aug 11 2024

The 60" Samuel Writing Desk from Red Barrel Studio is the best product I have ever assembled! Great desk! Nice clean look and a sturdy build. Super easy to put together. I gave 4/5 stars because the manufacturer really needs better packaging. This was my third order of this desk. The first two arrived damaged from shipping. The box is quite large and heavy and the tape used to seal the edges wears off during shipping allowing for the box to open and the contents to shift causing damage. Banding and tape would help the issue.. Anonymous. Sun Oct 11 2026

"This is our take on an 18th-century French escritoire or secretary desk. The design is full of classical detailing from the tongue and groove back panel to the Victorian moldings and iconic trumpet legs. With shelves above and two petite drawers, there’s ample storage to keep the surface free from clutter and is pretty enough to be used as a bedroom writing desk. Style tip: books don’t have to be stood vertically. Play with direction and place pocket-sized books in a small stack to use them as bookends. "

This is a beautifully designed and engineered desk. It has a wood finish that is like satin to the touch. The drawers are unbelievably spacious, and the desk top seems to visually levitate in space because of the subtle, simple black metal frame. My only problem (I imagine 90% of buyers will encounter this) is that the back stretcher/support is set at exactly the same height off the floor as the standard electrical wall outlet. Very awkward! Also, the wood color is more golden/yellow than I was looking for, but hey...that's online shopping for you. It would be great if they offered this desk in a darker caramel color, or even a soft charcoal.. David. Palm Springs, CA. Wed Jan 15 2025
