Happy with the purchase. Selected for my guest room to save space and it’s a great looking cabinet. I read the reviews and was prepared for a long assembly time and that held true. By myself total assembly time was around 7 hours. Found it less daunting breaking it up over 2 days. Went with a 10” mattress and slept on for two nights after assembly and found it very comfortable. Make sure you read the assembly instructions very carefully. There were a few times that I almost missed a key point that would have been a problem or a redo had I not caught it. This Murphy bed is perfect for our bonus room! It did take 2 people to put together, especially when attaching the front panels to the steel bed frame. Nothing was difficult just took time and patience. We installed in our bonus room and the bed will only get used on big holidays when house is full of family so the quality is perfect for us. If you are using for everyday use be careful not to scratch the surface, it scratches easily. For example if you use the desk and push a chair in too swiftly the white surface may scratch. The lights are a fantastic addition! Especially for the desk use!! I love that we could put art work up behind the bed for when the bed is out. We are very happy with product. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because of the ease of scratching the white surface. Delivery was easy, the truck delivered on a pallet with 3 boxes. Shipping took a bit longer than I would have expected, but it's a very heavy piece of furniture at 362 pounds and it has to be shipped in four different containers by a freight company. We love the color. It's a neutral gray, so not too brown and not too blue, and the material is solid engineered wood. The directions were good and the hardware is well made and everything fit nicely. It is quite a task to put together, so if you're not experienced it is going to be a challenge. We are experienced, but the only reason we knocked it down from a 5 to a 4 is that no matter what we did - and we followed directions exactly as written - the cabinet would not close completely with the mattress on it. After trying everything we decided to take off the straps that are attached to it, and bend the mattress in half, lie on it to keep it tightly together, and then shut the frame inside. Beautiful unit and is a great addition to our guest room. It took 2 of us a few days to install. There were some difficult parts but my husband and I were able to do it ourselves. There was some damage to the doors during delivery but most of the damage was hidden. The corners are not great and the front had scratches. We were taken care of though by Wayfair. I chose this one because it had no visible screws. I removed the 1 star due to the fact the handles needed some extra drilling to get them to fit, the cosmetic damage, some of the pieces not lining up nicely etc. It is not perfect but very nice for this price range. I am embarrassed to admit, but the 2 boxes sat unopened until Christmas 2021 when my cousin visited from Cali and offered to assemble for me. That is when I realized the drawers were missing. After a lot of stalking Wayfair for the drawers (which were out of stock) and several customer service emails and calls from December 2021 through August 2022, finally got the 3 drawers here. There were some problems, but Wayfair refunded my purchase price for the tower and gave me a discount so I could buy the drawers at a reasonable price. 3 years later, I finally have this "armoire" assembled and am pleased. I did struggle with the drawer pulls initially and will give this tip in case others experience the same. Use a flat head screw driver to gently separate the piece that needs to be removed. Took me several hours to put these together as the instructions are all pics and I was being very cautious to check everything prior to assembly. Also used a phillips screw driver only, which was slow going, but I feel better using on composite wood so as to not damage the pieces. At the end of the day, these are nicely made and solid drawers with a nice weight. The aren't as perfectly aligned as I would like. If I could give a 4.5, I would. I ordered the outer closet system tower for a really low price in September 2019 and it was supposed to have the drawers (was listed with them). I am embarrassed to admit, but the 2 boxes sat unopened until Christmas 2021 when my cousin visited from Cali and offered to assemble for me. That is when I realized the drawers were missing. After a lot of stalking Wayfair for the drawers (which were out of stock) and several customer service emails and calls from December 2021 through August 2022, finally got the 3 drawers here. There were some problems, but Wayfair refunded my purchase price for the tower and gave me a discount so I could buy the drawers at a reasonable price. 3 years later, I finally have this "armoire" assembled and am pleased. I did struggle with the drawer pulls initially and will give this tip in case others experience the same. Use a flat head screw driver to gently separate the piece that needs to be removed. Took me several hours to put these together as the instructions are all pics and I was being very cautious to check everything prior to assembly. Also used a phillips screw driver only, which was slow going, but I feel better using on composite wood so as to not damage the pieces. At the end of the day, these are nicely made and solid drawers with a nice weight. The aren't as perfectly aligned as I would like.
