Bring timeless sophistication to your bedroom with the Florio Solid Wood Platform Bed with Footboard and Trundle. Blending classic craftsmanship with modern comfort, the Richmond features a smooth, arched headboard with Mission-inspired slats for a look that’s both warm and refined. Built from solid hardwood and veneers, this bed delivers exceptional durability and style. The trundle, neatly tucked beneath the frame, glides out easily from either side to provide extra sleeping space for guests. With a supportive slat system, the Florio is mattress-ready and does not require a box spring or foundation. Available in Espresso, White, Walnut, Grey, and Light Toffee finishes and in Twin XL, Twin, Full, Queen, and King sizes, this bed offers the perfect fit for any room.

This bed arrives in four separate packages. One of the boxes is over 80 lb and will require additional assistance to move for average homeowner. The side rails as well as footboard come fully assembled out of the box. The headboard requires the side legs to be attached but this process is very simple. The support rails for the bed are extremely flimsy and using this bed as a trundle will not allow you vertical support to stop the mattress from sagging in the middle over time. Dinged a star for that. The trundle portion comes in its own separate box of the four and requires complete assembly which is very straightforward. Two of the threaded nuts that come pre-installed were missing in the holes allowing me no way to attach screws so I had to get creative as this is something the average homeowner might struggle with. The cracked wood is my fault for not predrilling. As a bonus the side rails of the bed have the mattress supports glued prior to painting and I'm including photos of the lumps of glue which are not a big deal but nice to know that the rails are physically glued as well as screwed. The trundle face came with 2 dents but my kids will do way worse in time. I would recommend this bed as it can be used stand alone, with a trundle, with the rails lowered for easier access, and also used with an existing box spring and metal frame.. Justin. Loxahatchee. I love it the bed is beautiful and the trundle underneath is an awesome addition. The only down is that one side of the bed started cracking but once I left Wayfair know they sent me a replacement right away. It’s my guest bedroom.. Ashlee. Miramar, FL. Wed Jul 01 2020

I love everything about this bed. It was frustrating the bed slats were not delivered originally, but now that I have them they fit nicely. A little confused as to how the bottom piece is necessary - but either way - love my bedroom set.. Abbey. Indianapolis, IN. Wed Apr 18 2018

Adventure awaits with this floor bed, which features a tent-inspired frame with no need for additional foundation below. It's made with a base painted a white or dark charcoal hue, contrasting with the natural grain of the five boards that form the open tent silhouette. This bed is sure to be a hit in your little one's room, as they throw a blanket over it and tell ghost stories by flashlight underneath. All you need to do is add your preferred mattress into the mix. This bed does not come with slats, it is designed to have the mattress directly on the floor.

A bit tricky to assemble but it looks great!. Fernanda. Wed Oct 07 2026
