Very solid piece of furniture. Assembly directions were easy to follow. Took approximately two hours to assemble with two people. We absolutely love our Mandujano Murphy Bed in the Barnwood finish. After downsizing, we needed our larger office to double as a guest room, and this bed is perfect. It’s solid wood, extremely well built, and the design is brilliant — when folded up, it looks like a beautiful chest of drawers, and the bottom drawer is a real storage drawer that holds pillows, sheets, and a blanket. We bought the matching mattress thinking we might upgrade it later, but it’s genuinely comfortable. When our twin sons were visiting, one son slept on it with a plush topper and liked it so much he stayed in the Murphy bed even after the guest room became available when his brother departed. Takes forever to build but once it’s built it looks great, works well and is easy to pull the bed out and put back in. We got a trifold mattress to go with it and it folds up into the cabinet also. The drawers are slightly small and will probably only fit two pillows nothing else will fit inside the cabinet beside the mattress when it’s folded up so we will have to store some additional pillows some place else.
