I love this bed. I assembled it by myself, which can be done but it takes longer, 3 12 hours for me There is a section in the manual that require 2 people but I couldnt wait. The manual was easy for me to read but just make sure you assemble everything properly as I had to redo a part because I didnt have the screws lined up. The structure is mostly metal and the headboard you have to assemble as well as the sides and there is 1 footboard. I put my box spring on but it doesnt require it I just like the height.
