Ok - this desk is just want you think it is - little and, well, sort of cheap when putting it together (which is very simple by the way and takes about 15 minutes max). However, once it's up you can't tell at all that the legs are plastic. I was going to paint them white to match my office but since they are plastic (and I didn't realize that), I'm not going to. I have a Mac and PC in my office so this little desk is for the Mac that doesn't get as much daily use. It's PERFECT in a corner. This desk was packaged well and contents organized the same. Once unpacked, assembly began. We only ran into one issue, alignment problem with either with the frame or desk, when attempting to attach the desk top. Generously-sized surface allows me to place a laptop (placed on a small orange crate to add height), a second monitor, a remote keyboard and mouse, with still plenty of space for writing etc. I was debating between getting this vs one with a separate keyboard/mouse shelf, but am glad for the contiguous space in this design. Raising the converting desk takes some practice as the spring is not strong enough to lift all the weight on the surface so you need both hands to help it up, as well as down. (A hydraulic system may have worked better, but would have added to the cost.) It is very sturdy though, and does not wobble or move at all when you're interacting with it in its lifted position. I am 5'3" and both the first and second intermediate positions (lifts surface 6" and 10" higher than my usual desk height) are quite comfortable for me. In the lowest position, the converter table surface is 3" higher than my desk, so you likely will need to add height to your chair. There was no review yet for this item, but I decided to buy anyway because I needed an adjustable standing desk and already had a beautiful solid cherry wood top that I had bought at a local wood shop to go on it. WOW! This desk is strong, the metal is sleek and polished, the mechanism runs smoothly, it is very easy to put together, and the instructions are very clear with color pictures. I still have to see how long the lift mechanism will work. Controller is to be attached under the table with screws provided, as well as the electric wires with the cable clips provided to this effect. Excellent product! I bought many items from Wayfair in the past and have always been very pleased with the quality of the products! This time again.
