The storage space underneath the cushion is only covered by some thin wood slats knit together so I wouldn't trust falling down onto that cushion. This chenille sofa is very comfortable and beautiful. It came well packaged in 4 separate boxes so it had very little to assemble. It came with the pillows compressed in air bags so they will expand once opened. It takes a couple of days to expand to full thickness but it’s worth it as it is so soft and comfortable. The sofa is a beautiful light beige color, exactly what I was expecting. Its comfortable and works great for my needs. The assembly does take quite a while, especially if youre putting it together by yourself. One thing to note is that parts K1 and K2 were confusing because they werent labeled correctly, and the L and R labels were reversed, so I had to disassemble part of the sofa before I could continue.
