This Murphy bed can be folded away into a cabinet to open up floor space in any room. Equipped with spacious storage cabinets and shelves on both sides, this bed provides unparalleled storage capacity. The open storage area includes built-in USB Ports help charge your devices. The mattress support uses flexible slats that follow the curves of the body and absorb pressure — mattress is not included, and the bed is not made to be used with a box spring. The hide away bed is easy to use, simply pull on the handles and flip the support leg down onto the floor. Safety & Installation Notice: Read the manual before assembly. Each step includes a video and important notes. Professional assemble suggested. Mattress must weigh at least 80 lbs. Suggest Mattress Thickness : 8 inch-10inch.Mattress not included. Installation requires secure to wood studs or masonry. Anti-tip hardware for brick/concrete walls is included. Have one person hold or sit on the empty bed frame when installing the hydraulic system to prevent pinch injuries. I love this Murphy bed! It was a labor of love to put together, but my husband and I did it over several days. It’s built very well. We were impressed at how well it was built. The looks great! If you are not a pro putting this things together, hire someone or just don’t buy it. I have put together at least a couple of dozen do it yourself furniture and had not encountered anything as difficult as this. The instructions are very poor and the QR codes weren’t that much help. Trash! I bought a 4" tri-fold mattress like the specifications say and it doesn't even fold up with the mattress like it's supposed to. My guest, who was going to use it, sat down and the wood pieces broke and my guest fell through! My guest doesn't even weigh 200 lbs and this is supposed to hold 400 lbs. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. Takes forever to build but once it’s built it looks great, works well and is easy to pull the bed out and put back in. We got a trifold mattress to go with it and it folds up into the cabinet also. The drawers are slightly small and will probably only fit two pillows nothing else will fit inside the cabinet beside the mattress when it’s folded up so we will have to store some additional pillows some place else. It took several tries to get a delivery that wasn’t damaged but it went together easily ( couple in our 80’s). You won't worry about changing position if you play games or watch movies on bed with little battery.
