This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. There is a lengthy construction process with 44 steps and a tone of screws; i definitely benefited from gentle use of a power drill for some steps while others needed to be done by hand. there is one type of diagram - that shows how to install the sliding tracks that is initially very hard to interpret. but taking my time and having a second pair of hands for the first half of construction made it work and its more or less exactly what I wanted for the space. eventually when I habe a bigger budget I would prefer hardwood but this is a reasonable solution for a small space. I absolutely love this bed! It’s beautiful, sturdy, and exactly what I was looking for. The fabric is gorgeous and feels high quality, making the whole bedroom look elegant and cozy. The storage underneath is very spacious and helps keep everything organized. The lift mechanism works much better once the mattress is on the bed, making it easy to open and close.
