I am so happy with this Murphy bed! It is super sturdy and easy to go from cabinet to bed. You can do it with one person easier with two people. It has plenty of room for a fold up mattress inside. You can use the drawer down below. It’s a great size also would work to store extra pillows or bed bedding. I love the wood grain on top and the overall cabinet when it’s closed up is lovely. I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. We love the Latitude Run products. Solid wood feel on the tops and doors and sold construction that feels like it'll last. The assembly takes some time and space as you'll assemble multiple pieces at once and them assemble those pieces together. The bed feels solid once constructed and is easy to pull out by one person. The way the doors fold over make it a nice headboard area where you can set up some tables or shelves alongside it to act as nightstands when used. The receptacle and usbs are in a handy spot for phone charging etc. The unit was a little bigger than we anticipated, a little more bulky that expected but not unreasonable considering it holds a trifold mattress in a cabinet and doesn't go flat to the wall. It does not include a mattress so add in about 200 or so for a decent trifold mattress and the price is still a solid find for a Murphy bed cabinet. The queen mattress hangs over slightly at the end of the platform, like an inch or so, not a big deal but the platform should ideally fully support the entire mattress, it would have been a bigger deal if it were at the head of the bed.. I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our. Looks beautiful! Some parts came damaged but got replacements super quick with no problem. When putting together you have to take apart the metal sliding tracks to install. Only part I got stuck on. You have to slide it twice before you can see the latch to release the third part. Also beware the metal parts have oil goop in the crevices. Gets on your hands when sliding them apart but washes off easily. Will have to buy another mattress to go with the one provided. Personal preference but the mattress it comes with seems thin. I bought this Murphy bed for my guest bedroom and its exactly what I was looking for. Assembly was definitely a challenge (instructions were good, but lots of heavymoving pieces), but for the price it was worth it. There are no shelves inside the cabinets, but that was perfect so I can easily store the pillows and comforter while the bed is up. Each step includes a video and important notes. Professional assemble suggested. Mattress must weigh at least 80 lbs. Suggest Mattress Thickness : 8 inch-10inch.Mattress not included. Installation requires secure to wood studs or masonry. Anti-tip hardware for brick/concrete walls is included. Have one person hold or sit on the empty bed frame when installing the hydraulic system to prevent pinch injuries. Please do not remove the iron straps compressing the hydraulic rods until you attach them to the body. Removing it early will cause the rod too long to fit into the predrilled hole.
