I am so happy with this Murphy bed! It is super sturdy and easy to go from cabinet to bed. You can do it with one person easier with two people. It has plenty of room for a fold up mattress inside. You can use the drawer down below. It’s a great size also would work to store extra pillows or bed bedding. I love the wood grain on top and the overall cabinet when it’s closed up is lovely. I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. It looks great in my room. I also bought a 6" folding mattress to go in it. I haven't tried to put it away in the cabinet yet, but when I measure, there appears to be plenty of room for it.. Linda. The price of this product was very good but the asctual product left a lot to be desired. I bought it in white and the color is a mixture of white and yellowed paint. There are A LOT of pieces and some of them were marked incorrectly. The directions are horrendous and although they have QR codes with short videos, most of them are not very helpful. There were even pieces that did not fit properly as the predrilled holes are not correctly spaced. We love the Latitude Run products. Solid wood feel on the tops and doors and sold construction that feels like it'll last. The assembly takes some time and space as you'll assemble multiple pieces at once and them assemble those pieces together. The bed feels solid once constructed and is easy to pull out by one person. The way the doors fold over make it a nice headboard area where you can set up some tables or shelves alongside it to act as nightstands when used. The receptacle and usbs are in a handy spot for phone charging etc. The unit was a little bigger than we anticipated, a little more bulky that expected but not unreasonable considering it holds a trifold mattress in a cabinet and doesn't go flat to the wall. It does not include a mattress so add in about 200 or so for a decent trifold mattress and the price is still a solid find for a Murphy bed cabinet. The queen mattress hangs over slightly at the end of the platform, like an inch or so, not a big deal but the platform should ideally fully support the entire mattress, it would have been a bigger deal if it were at the head of the bed.. I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our. I really like the Murphy bed it was delivered on time and was in almost perfect condition. The item had one minor scratch, and it was easy to paint over. The bed was not easy to assemble, but I had help. It looks nice and is easy to lift updown. It’s a big piece of heavy furniture and it’s perfect. Assembly was pretty straightforward and feels over engineered. The mattress that comes with it is quite thin but that’s based on my preference ! There are no shelves inside the cabinets, but that was perfect so I can easily store the pillows and comforter while the bed is up.
