I am so happy with this Murphy bed! It is super sturdy and easy to go from cabinet to bed. You can do it with one person easier with two people. It has plenty of room for a fold up mattress inside. You can use the drawer down below. It’s a great size also would work to store extra pillows or bed bedding. I love the wood grain on top and the overall cabinet when it’s closed up is lovely. We ordered the bed and put it together, and we love it. It took my wife and I about 5 hours to put everything together. It came with some extra parts, just in case we screwed up. I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our. I really like the Murphy bed it was delivered on time and was in almost perfect condition. The item had one minor scratch, and it was easy to paint over. Overall a beautiful and functional Murphy bed. Came well packaged in 2, heavy, boxes. As other reviews have stated, it takes a considerable amount of time to assemble, it took me a little over 3 hours. There were a couple steps that were a bit confusing and I had to go back and switch things around but for the most part, pretty good instructions overall. My only complaint is the bolts for the handles and knobs were just barely long enough, the first one I accidentally over tightened and it broke. Exercise extreme caution with the knobshandles. Looks beautiful! Some parts came damaged but got replacements super quick with no problem. When putting together you have to take apart the metal sliding tracks to install. Only part I got stuck on. You have to slide it twice before you can see the latch to release the third part. Also beware the metal parts have oil goop in the crevices. Gets on your hands when sliding them apart but washes off easily. Will have to buy another mattress to go with the one provided. Personal preference but the mattress it comes with seems thin.
