I am so happy with this Murphy bed! It is super sturdy and easy to go from cabinet to bed. You can do it with one person easier with two people. It has plenty of room for a fold up mattress inside. You can use the drawer down below. It’s a great size also would work to store extra pillows or bed bedding. I love the wood grain on top and the overall cabinet when it’s closed up is lovely. The price of this product was very good but the asctual product left a lot to be desired. I bought it in white and the color is a mixture of white and yellowed paint. There are A LOT of pieces and some of them were marked incorrectly. The directions are horrendous and although they have QR codes with short videos, most of them are not very helpful. There were even pieces that did not fit properly as the predrilled holes are not correctly spaced. I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our. We love the Latitude Run products. Solid wood feel on the tops and doors and sold construction that feels like it'll last. The assembly takes some time and space as you'll assemble multiple pieces at once and them assemble those pieces together. The bed feels solid once constructed and is easy to pull out by one person. The way the doors fold over make it a nice headboard area where you can set up some tables or shelves alongside it to act as nightstands when used. The receptacle and usbs are in a handy spot for phone charging etc. The unit was a little bigger than we anticipated, a little more bulky that expected but not unreasonable considering it holds a trifold mattress in a cabinet and doesn't go flat to the wall. It does not include a mattress so add in about 200 or so for a decent trifold mattress and the price is still a solid find for a Murphy bed cabinet. The queen mattress hangs over slightly at the end of the platform, like an inch or so, not a big deal but the platform should ideally fully support the entire mattress, it would have been a bigger deal if it were at the head of the bed.. Overall a beautiful and functional Murphy bed. Came well packaged in 2, heavy, boxes. As other reviews have stated, it takes a considerable amount of time to assemble, it took me a little over 3 hours. There were a couple steps that were a bit confusing and I had to go back and switch things around but for the most part, pretty good instructions overall. My only complaint is the bolts for the handles and knobs were just barely long enough, the first one I accidentally over tightened and it broke. Exercise extreme caution with the knobshandles.
