We ordered the bed and put it together, and we love it. It took my wife and I about 5 hours to put everything together. It came with some extra parts, just in case we screwed up. This Murphy Bed comes in several heavy boxes with a lot of pieces. So it's definitely my recommendation to hire a professional to put it together to save you time and to ensure the product is assembled properly with anchoring to the wall for security. I must say it came together beautifully and will fit our needs for additional modern style storage and sleep space when we have overnight guests. The material is somewhat sturdy manufactured wood which is only noticeable up close. The frame will definitely only fit a 10 inch mattress or less. We tried a 12 in and the main door will not close. As many have mentioned, it would have been great to have shelves inside the cabinet but if you're handy you can easily install some for more storage. I have been shopping around for a quality Murphy bed for quite some time and almost bought a $4000 model but I'm glad I was able to save once I found this one for a fraction of the cost. Functional but definitely doesn’t look like the pictures. Issues with wood cracking when putting together the base of the bed. Screws holding the front on are slightly too long or screw holes don’t grip the wood so there’s gaps in the decorative front. It’s a big piece of heavy furniture and it’s perfect. Assembly was pretty straightforward and feels over engineered. The mattress that comes with it is quite thin but that’s based on my preference ! We love the Latitude Run products. Solid wood feel on the tops and doors and sold construction that feels like it'll last. The assembly takes some time and space as you'll assemble multiple pieces at once and them assemble those pieces together. The bed feels solid once constructed and is easy to pull out by one person. The way the doors fold over make it a nice headboard area where you can set up some tables or shelves alongside it to act as nightstands when used. The receptacle and usbs are in a handy spot for phone charging etc. The unit was a little bigger than we anticipated, a little more bulky that expected but not unreasonable considering it holds a trifold mattress in a cabinet and doesn't go flat to the wall. We bought two of these for our guestgame room. There are a lot of steps to put them together but its actually quite easy. I suggest having a second person as some of the pieces are long, its just easy to line up with the other person. The wheels worked better on carpet than I thought they would.
