This bed frame is good, but not great. Putting it together was pretty easy (me and my dad, but I've built a similar one solo before). It's sturdy. My only complaints are the quality and the color. The quality of the materials is "meh". Definitely passable, I won't be returning it, but not as nice as my last bed frame (which was a similar price point). The slats are thinner and further apart. Also, there's a bit of a gap between the plush pieces along the side. Lastly, the color isn't as vibrant as it seems in some of the pictures. This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down.
