This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. This bed is GORGEOUS in person. I wanted an upholstered bed, and i initially ordered anothe bed from anothe company, but was so disappointed after seeing it in person. Online photos make beds in the 200 range appear just like the beds in the 1000 range, but there is a huge difference when you see them in person. The fabric is textured and very high end. Overall, this is a nice storage bed with plenty of under bed storage and the holstered wing back headboards look great. The hydraulic lift works well, but it is very heavy. The first time it won’t even let me, but I can’t see it opens it can spring up on its own, which was a little startling if you’re standing in the middle of the bedframe. We did run into a few assembly issues the Velcro attached bottom mat was just a little too short to fit properly across the bed frame an extra inch or two would’ve made the installation much easier. We also found that the included number eight wrench did not fit the hydraulic bolts the steps involving parts number 21 and number seven so we had to use our own tools. In addition the hardware kit was short five size 10 washers we substituted H 10 washers, but they didn’t work well because the holes for the hydraulic brackets were too large, causing the washers to fall into the openings. Despite these issues the finish bed is sturdy, attractive and offers excellent storage with a few improvements to the hardware and fit of the bottom panel, it would be even better product.. Korynn.
