I absolutely love this Murphy bed! It’s high-quality and comes with very clear instructions. Based on other reviews, I knew it would be a time-consuming project, and it ended up taking me two days to assemble, about 10 hours in total. The trickiest part was mounting it to the wall. The instructions state it should only be mounted to concrete, but since my house isn't concrete, we had to adapt: we bolted 2x4s into the wall studs wherever there were mounting brackets, and then bolted the bed frame to the 2x4s. You can see one of the 2x4s in the second picture. Securely anchored in eight places, it’s rock-solid and isn't going anywhere. I plan to add paneling later to hide the 2x4 support board. We are extremely happy with how this looks in our TV room, and the addition of subtle lighting really highlights its beauty. I highly recommend this sturdy piece of furniture!. Lisa. Mckinney, TX. I received my farmhouse size Murphy bed with lights and charging station on the date stated when I placed my order. The directions were could have had better pictures as we found ourselves guessing on a few occasions and had to stop and redo steps on one occasion. The Murphy bed took two people a few hours to assemble and I love it! The online pictures do not do justice as it looks so much nicer in person. The cabinet was very straightforward, every screw and pilot hole were perfectly aligned. The only issue is the latch system is not a safe design. We will be purchasing a latch to keep the heavy front from falling as it is not a secure latch. The side is not sturdy enough from bowing out allowing the pin to not sit securely. Otherwise a quality heavy cabinet.. Tammy. Scarborough , ME. Sat Sep 26 2026

This bed is a safety hazard! It literally crashed to the floor in the second attempt to use it. The hydraulic lifts fell off and the bed fell over 5 feet crashing to the floor so quickly the support legs failed to deploy. This is a kit or a model of a Murphy bed - there are over 660 screws, parts, pieces - it is a complete build with confusing directions. Worst of all it seems they just decided to put hydraulic lifts randomly on a Murphy bed cabinet weighing over 300 lbs and secure those lifts with 3 x e inch metal plates with 4 screws into pressed wood-like frame.
