Complete DISASTER. If I could give negative stars I would. 1. Product arrived damaged in multiple places...chips, excessive paint stains splatter. See photos. Unfortunately the handyman didnt see the damage until we were well into the assembly. 2. There are LOADS of gold exposed screws on the side of the cabinet...these are NOT pictured in the stock photos. Unfortunately, again, this is the side that faces the door, so its the first thing you see. If this had been accurately represented in Wayfairs photos, I wouldnt have purchased the bed. 3. The two boxes were delivered to my neighbors house instead of mine. They are so heavy we had to have two people move them. 4. The assembly is beyond tedious. It took a skilled professional 6 hours to complete this-- and cost me 300. 5. I contacted Wayfair mid-assembly and they offered for me to return the bed () or take a 20 refund. Im sorry, but 125 is not enough to offset this mess. And disassembling it and packing it up would take a few hours. How do you get all of this back into the boxes And then of course, I have to get the boxes back down the stairs and to the door for pick up. None of this was helpful since I needed the bed to accommodate weekend guests. I dont feel adequately compensated for this mess. Im still stuck with this bed and in nearly 900. (bed is 529 before tax 300 assembly). See all photos. I do not recommend. Really disappointed with Wayfair. This is the 16th thing Ive ordered from them, so I feel like a loyal customer. Bummed to have had to deal with this.. Angel. Austin, TX. Thu Sep 10 2026

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing purchase. Assembly was far more difficult than advertised, with unclear instructions and parts that did not fit together properly. The overall build quality felt cheap and poorly engineered for the price. Even after assembly, the product remained unstable and noticeably shaky, which raised safety concerns, especially for households with children. To make matters worse, one of the components arrived defective right out of the box. While I appreciate that Wayfair provided a full refund and handled the issue professionally, the product itself was not worth the time, effort, or frustration. I would not recommend it and would suggest looking for a sturdier, better-built alternative.. Shiv. Stanford, CA. Sun May 24 2026

Queen Size Murphy Bed, Pine Wood Cabinet Bed with Rattan Decoration and Storage Drawer

This product was an absolute nightmare. None of the pre drilled holes were correct, the wood cracked while we were building the bed, and the instructions were absolutely useless. I’ve furnished my entire home with Wayfair and never had a problem until this garbage showed up on my front door. Safe to say, I will never be buying from Wayfair again. EVER. If I could give this zero stars, I would.. Amanda. Carlsbad, CA. Sat Dec 13 2025

As others have commented. The instructions are not great. You really need to be thinking a few steps ahead. It took about 7 hours for the two of us to put together. We love the finished product. Would have given 5 stars if better instructions were provided.. Mandy. Orangevale, CA. Thu Jan 16 2020

This Murphy bed is perfect for our bonus room! It did take 2 people to put together, especially when attaching the front panels to the steel bed frame. Nothing was difficult just took time and patience. We installed in our bonus room and the bed will only get used on big holidays when house is full of family so the quality is perfect for us. If you are using for everyday use be careful not to scratch the surface, it scratches easily. For example if you use the desk and push a chair in too swiftly the white surface may scratch. The lights are a fantastic addition! Especially for the desk use!! I love that we could put art work up behind the bed for when the bed is out. We are very happy with product. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because of the ease of scratching the white surface. Delivery was easy, the truck delivered on a pallet with 3 boxes. (See photo) The boxes are very heavy, we used a hand truck to move first two boxes, the last box was too wide to move like that so we just opened in driveway and took parts upstairs.. Lorianne. Great contemporary design. Love the lights above the bed. Clear assembly instructions. I purchased this bed for my guest room. The furniture is solid and well built. Working with the bed specialist was a great experience.. Carlos. Clarksburg, MD. Thu Aug 01 2019

There are also two drawers for you to use when the bed turns into a cabinet.

This item is average at best. Once we started putting it together there were a number of scratches in the various wood sections. One part didn’t have the pre-screw connectors, so we couldn’t even put it all together and need to wait for the replacement part. The bottom main drawer had a very noticeable gouge in it as well as one of the smaller cabinet’s door. Therefore, needed 3 main sections replaced and had to stop assembly mid-way through to wait for them to arrive. The first replacement was delayed and I am waiting on the other parts as well. Very frustrating.. Kari. Suring, WI. Sat Sep 28 2024
