I was impressed with the quality of the product, and visually, it’s exactly as pictured. The long boards were not marked front or back which is very important. Love this! Very easy to assemble. It could’ve come with some wall mounting hardware or at least mentioned the size needed. I used drywall mounts. Looks great. I finally pulled the trigger on this shelving unit, as it was the perfect size for an odd-sized wall in a rental house. Overall, the piece is solid but has some flaws indicative of flatpack -- small inconsistencies like visible gaps in a few places where they shouldn't be, visible factory-applied adhesive in a few places, and one shelf with an edge cut slightly crooked to where it was a frustration point during assembly. BluDot has consistently and substantially raised their prices over the past couple of years (this shelf has almost doubled in price), but quality seems as though it is not keeping up with the price point. I purchased the low shelf from the same Open Plan series a couple of years ago and it does not suffer from any of the same issues. I would definitely recommend waiting to purchase BluDot items until they run their annual (sometimes semi-annual, these days) sale.. S. Owensboro, KY. Fri Apr 24 2026
