There were a few nicks scratches on the back top of frame with a few paint splotches. You can’t see it and I’ll touch it up at some point. It arrived in 3 boxes; one came 3 days later than the others, but they sent an email letting us know this would happen. Assembly was a chore, and the written instructions are cryptic at best (confession: didn't watch the video). Also some of the barrel nuts had been thrown loosely in the box, separate from the sealed parts bag; we didn't find them till we were breaking down the boxes. However, despite these issues, once assembled, we really like the bed; good quality materials, folding from bed to couch works very well, and the bed is quite comfortable with an 8" mattress.. David.
