I just got this and put it together so I can’t speak on durability yet but it arrived undamaged and is exactly what I was looking for. It’s pretty easy to use and feels sturdy. I got the cherry finish and it perfectly matches my other furniture in the room. As others mentioned the directions and labels aren’t completely accuratethe easiest but I just checked the set up video online whenever I got a little hung up. It arrived in 3 boxes; one came 3 days later than the others, but they sent an email letting us know this would happen. Assembly was a chore, and the written instructions are cryptic at best (confession: didn't watch the video). Also some of the barrel nuts had been thrown loosely in the box, separate from the sealed parts bag; we didn't find them till we were breaking down the boxes. However, despite these issues, once assembled, we really like the bed; good quality materials, folding from bed to couch works very well, and the bed is quite comfortable with an 8" mattress.. David. This product is crafted from Tulip Poplar and comes unfinished and chemical-free. Most of our customers choose to leave the wood unfinished, but we do provide finishing instructions for staining or painting.

I search for a while for a bed frame that would fit in my sunroom and work with my hide a bed mattress. The hide a bed couch was old but mattress is fairly new. This option made it so I could still use my mattress. This is a full size mattress and fits its perfectly. I love that it has 3 different options of being a couch, lounger and a bed. Challenging assembly made more difficult by mislabeled parts, but after four hours of frustration, the futon looks great. Solid frame, relatively easy to maneuver.
