[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a tall chair to complement my standing desk and I picked a backless stool to help encourage better posture and core strength. This stool has been perfect for that. The stool comes with leg extenders, without it, it's the height for a low breakfast counter. But adding the extenders bring it up to barstool height. Im 5'4 and I can just barely lean my butt on it with my feet still on the floor. If I want to sit, I have to use the foot rest to step up to the seat. The stool is very sturdy. The base is wider than the seat and it feels extremely stable. I don't watch my balance or feel like I need to be careful when I'm hopping up or when I'm adjusting myself. And the whole thing is much bigger than expected. The seat is extra wide, the legs and foot rest are also wide and sturdy. The seat itself is a very padded pleather. These stools are very solid and do exactly what they’re supposed to do. The construction feels sturdy and well-balanced, and the adjustable height mechanism works smoothly. Once assembled, they have a nice weight to them and don’t feel flimsy at all. The industrial pipe design is great in theory, but the finish is not accurately represented in the photos. In person, the metal has a splattered white paint effect that looks more accidental than intentional—almost like they were sitting near someone rinsing paint brushes. It gives a messier appearance than expected and takes away from the otherwise clean industrial look. The color also leans more toward a colonial aqua blue tone, which was unexpected. Unfortunately, it clashes quite a bit with darker cabinetry—especially navy blue—so it didn’t work in our space at all. That said, the underlying build quality is good enough that they’re worth keeping. With a refinished or powder-coated surface, these could easily become a really sharp, high-end looking piece. Great quality, sturdy and I love that its real wood top and not just laminated wood that peels off (as read in other product's reviews). One thing to consider, it is not really adjustable stool - it doesnt go up/own on a lever push. What it means is the foot-rest is on 2 sides, one side being lower (for taller people) and one side higher (for shorter people). I knew that and so I was prepared. Overall 5 stars!
